Automatic Suture Device for Nasal Surgery
Project Overview
Our goal is to develop a device which will automatically deploy a purse-string suture to close an incision in the nose which is commonly used in nasal surgeries. The traditional suturing procedure is tedious and time consuming, often taking 15 minutes or more. Our client would like us to develop a device which will automatically suture the desired location with minimal surgeon involvement, reducing the time to under 5 minutes.
