Refinement of electronic stethoscope
Project Overview
Our client is Dr. Scott Springman, a member of the Anesthesiology team at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. Previously, a prototype of our project was made by another BME team, and Dr. Springman would like our team to make adjustments to this. The device that we are going to be working on is an electronic stethoscope to be used during anesthesia care. It would be beneficial to the anesthesiologists if the stethoscope had a speaker so that they wouldn\'t have to rely on headphones. This would also allow more than one person to be able to listen. The system should also have a headphone jack and two microphones, one for each side of the chest. Our team plans to make a device that fits Dr. Springman\'s exact specifications.
