Currently, the intraventricular drainage system consists of an intraventricular device put into place to allow for the draining of cerebrospinal fluid in patients with intracranial hypertension. However, this requires frequent adjustment and does not allow the patient’s intracranial pressure to be regulated without a nurse’s assistance. A device is needed to automate this process in order to eliminate the need for frequent readjustments.
