Login for More InformationBotoXperts designed a realistic facial model with anatomically correct arterial webbing that signals when arteries are intruded.
Project Overview
In order to prevent accidental injection into a facial artery during facial filler procedures, a facial model should be fabricated to teach and instruct physicians proper placement of injections. This will prevent dangerous outcomes of filler injections like necrosis of the face or blindness. The model must be anatomically correct, resemble correct skin thickness, and include the critical arteries of the face, so that the model signifies and alarms the mistake of an incorrectly placed injection. Ultimately, the goal is to substantially eliminate potential negative outcomes of filler injections and ensure patient safety in these minimally invasive procedures.
