Design and Construction of a Quad Rat Vitals Monitor
Project Overview
In order to maintain appropriate anesthesia dosages on four rates during PET imaging experiments,a device must be developed to monitor heart rates, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2)levels, respiratory rates, and rectal temperatures of each rat individually. The goal this semester is to integrate a pulse oximeter to monitor heart rate and SpO2 levels into the prototype from previous semesters and to build a device to enclose the finished prototype.
