Dr. Ford is in search of a device to efficiently and safely facilitate the removal of nasal foreign bodies (NFBs) from children ages 2-6 years. The Gavin-Miller Extractor must remove or loosen the NFB within the nasal cavity quickly and without anesthesia. The device should be ready to use as soon as a patient comes into the ER and should be easily handled by the physician. Patient safety is the top priority and the extractor should not pose any threat of pushing the NFB deeper into the nasal cavity.
