Temporary pacemaker training simulator
Project Overview
Medical students require a better method to learn how to use and adjust pacemakers for different cardiac arrhythmias. Currently students learn from physician demonstration or with the very limited and expensive simulators available. Our training device should simulate the heart’s rhythmic response to the pacemakers input set by trainees (students, nurses, residents, and fellows) using an android tablet user interface, microprocessor, pacemaker and display.
