Blood draws can be negative experiences for many patients because the patient may find them to be frightening and/or painful. Creating a method to distract patients from the procedure could improve the patient’s overall experience by reducing the anxiety and pain the patient may experience. While distracting the patient, the device should not hinder the physician’s procedure.
